The Baby Bee Bee Bird
Narrator(N) : The animals at the zoo had roared and growled and hissed and meowed all day. (animals making shitloads of noice) (N) : they were very tired. (all look tired) Elephant: *yawns* Its eight o clock.(settle down in a big hay bed) i've eaten 562 peanuts today...(trails off to sleep) (N) : but none of the animals heard him. they were all asleep.(everyone sleeps) the zoo was very still.. until... (bb bird at the side) BEEBEEBOBBIBOBBI!!!!! (repeats) (everyone wakes up) Elephant: Whats that? (looks around incredulously) Giraffe: it's the baby beebee bird.He's new to the zoo...(shocked) Leopard: tell him to keep QUIET!! I WANT TO SLEEP!! (looks and sounds angry) (bb bird still bbbbobbing) (giraffe goes up to the bb bird) giraffe: be quiet please...... BB bird: but i cant! i'm wide awake! (continues bbbobbing) lion: QUIET!!! (roars loudly) (giraffe goes back) giraffe: he's wide awake! bear: why isn't he tired like the rest of us?(moan and covers face with hands) (giraffe goes back) giraffe: aren't you tired? BB bird: no, i've slept all day.And now,it is time for me to sing! (opens hands,looks glorious) Elephant: oh dear...and i'm so sleepy....... (BB bird sings) everyone: QUIET!(shouts) WE CAN'T SLEEP!! (N): but the beebee bird continued to sing. the sun rose in the morning on a very tired zoo.(animals all collapsed on floor) keeper:what can be the matter? the elephant is still lying down. the lion's paws are over his eyes. the eagle isn't screeching(eagle 'dead') OH DEAR ME,the animals must be sick! (runs away) BB bird: bbbobbibobbi (looks happy) (settles down for morning nap) (lion gets an idea) lion: (whisper) i have a plan..(tells bear) bear: yes....(nods) (tells other animals) (N): the bb bird was a t last asleep. lion + elephant + bears: beebeebobbi~~~(all suddenly start to join in) BB bird: QUIET! can't you see i'm sleeping? it's time for my nap. (throws tantrum when they ignore it) (everyone continues beebeebobo-ing) (keeper runs in, waving arms) keeper: (shouts) something is wrong! something is very wrong with the animals! whatever shall i do? (jumps up and down.) (animals all sing) (bb bird looks angry.cover ears,tries to sleep,but to no avail) (N): the sun went down and the moon came up. lion: beebeebobbibobbi...(falls asleep) bear:(sigh) beebeebobbibobbi...(close eyes) elephant: bee..bee..bo..bi...(mumbles)(falls asleep) (N): and then..all was still..the moon shone down upon a sleeping zoo. (all sleep) (N): not an ear, or a tail, or a whisker moved. and high up in the lindenn tree,a tiny bird,inside a leaf(animals all slowly move off)was fast asleep...and now evryday at the zoo you can hear,(everyone makes lotsa noise)but at night,there is never a sound.Nightime is really best for sleeping..especially for very little birds..(BB bird sleeping)
